Hans-Werner Prinz von Sachsen-Altenburg, his legal name, usually speaks and publishes under the name of "Hans Altenburg".


Hans is a citizen of the world, a global defender of human rights and an international entrepreneur and policy advisor.


Born in Germany, he has studied and lived in several European countries, the USA, Mexico, Russia, Georgia and Asia. His travels took him to almost every country in the world. At the age of 26, he held

American Bachelor's degrees in Sociology, History and Business, a Master's degree in International Business and an MBA in Finance. He studied law in the USA and Germany, and a PhD h.c. followed in 1995. He taught at U.S. colleges and universities and most recently held the position of Vice Dean and Professor at the Diplomatic Academy of Georgia.


From 1980, he consulted worldwide with Booz Allen & Hamilton and subsequently acquired, founded, managed and later sold several companies in collaboration with companies such as Owens-Corning, The Walt Disney Company, Chrysler, Continental AG and others.


As a defender of human rights, Hans has acted as a political advisor in the USA, Russia, Europe and the United States amongst others. In the course of this activity he was in global contact with heads of state, Presidents and crowned leaders. Hans is a supporter of the European Union and collaborates on project basis with UNESCO, UNHCR and Commissioners of the European Council, and has acted as a legal representative in the European Court of Human Rights since 2005.


After the opening of Eastern Europe, Hans played a leading role in the development and promotion of "Freedom of the Press" through the establishment of media companies and broadcasters in areas stretching from the former German Democratic Republic through the Caucasus to Russia. He has published more than 100 books, videos, musical works, articles and TV programmes.


With globalism in his DNA, he is committed to the maintenance and progressive development of the EU in hopes that it may realise its massive historical potential as an efficient global leader and model for human rights and the free market economy.
